Callaham Vibrato / Tremolo Replacement Blocks (2006 enhanced) including 3 stainless steel top plate screws. When the vibrato bridge was first designed in 1954, it had a machined steel inertia block for the simple reason it gave the instrument the required sustain and harmonic content. Over the years, manufacturers have continuously made this part more inferior in order to cut costs. We manufacture an exact replacement block for stripped original bridges and it can be retrofitted onto any reissue instrument giving a dramatic increase in both sustain and frequency response. We manufacture basically 7 different blocks: An exact replacement block for those who need them, the enhanced vintage repro block, a block for modern American Standard bridges, a block for American Deluxe Series bridges, a block for the Made in Mexico Standard series, and a block for G&L Duel Fulcrum bridges. Now we offer a block for the Korean Made Lite Ash Strat. |

For Enhanced tremolo blocks we suggest one of our three virtual pop-in arms although any 3/16 DIA 10-32 threaded arm can be used in our blocks. Using our proprietary enhanced block makes any arm virtually unbreakable. My favorite length arm is the Callaham "64". It being 3/4 shorter puts it in the proper location for me to hold the arm and still pick extremely comfortably. If you are ordering just arms, you need to specify a length style and a thread style. For Example: |

Strat Stainless Steel Saddle Screw Kit. This is a great upgrade kit or restoration kit for any U.S. made Strat saddle. All stainless steel. It is great for replacing the awful black screws on American Standard guitars. 2 types available for:

Hardened Tremolo Mounting Screws. These are just like the original screws used in the Pre-CBS guitars. 1 1/4 inches long from hardened steel, they increase sustain and clarity. We were amazed at the improvement these screws make. Please note that these will only work with 6-pivot vintage style bridges. |

Callaham Vintage Styled Strat "CG" Saddles for 2 1/16 Spaced Bridge In order to meet the demand for a quality saddle for the 2 1/16 Mexican Standard guitars, we offer narrower vintage styled saddles for Mexican Standard guitars. These saddles are far superior to the Fender production saddle in every aspect. They have English 4-40 stainless steel height adjustment and intonation screws and springs. The height screws are much shorter than the factory metric screws and because they are English, they are available at any good hardware store. They are supplied with 5/16 length screws for the E strings and 3/8 length for the rest. An allen wrench is included. These saddles could also be used for 2 1/8 spaced bridges. |

Callaham Vintage Styled "CG" Saddles for American Standard Bridge In order to meet the demand for a high quality vintage styled saddle for American Standard guitars, we now offer narrower vintage styled saddles for American Standard guitars. Not only do they sound far better than the stock cast saddles, they look so much better. These saddles are specifically for American Standard styled bridges with the offset intonation screw. These saddles will work on either Strats or Teles with this style bridge. They are supplied with all stainless steel 4-40 screws. The E strings come with 1/4 length height screws and 5/16 length height screws for the others. Allen wrench included. Nickel. 2 1/16 string spacing. |

Note on Hardtail bridges. Just like our tremolo bridge it is nickel plated and uses stainless steel screws. All the lines are thin and elegant. If you are building a non-trem guitar, this is an excellent bridge. |

Starting at the left is a Traditional ferrule used by Fender in the 50's. It requires a 5/16 hole 5/16 deep with a 3/8 counterbore that is 1/16 deep. The next is a Callaham styled ferrule that requires a 3/8 hole 3/8 deep. (.375) Last is the general set-up that you will have with an aftermarket body. |
If you are building your own body from scratch, I strongly suggest the Callaham style ferrules because of the easier installation with simple tooling and the wide base support. If you are restoring a vintage instrument or building from an aftermarket body, use our Traditional styled ferrules. |

Note on Neckplates. They are .075 thick compared to import plates at .060. Being stainless they are stronger and will resist bending so that the body of the guitar is not dented. |

Callaham Stainless Steel Old Style Round String Tree with stainless steel screw. I again disliked the imported round string trees, so we make our own. I used a Broadcaster and "55" to make ours. Again they are made from stainless steel. They look great and have polished string slots to reduce friction. |

Note on Pickguards. Our pickguards are made to fit U.S.A. made Fender reissue or relic guitars, and Pre-CBS guitars. Minor fitting may be required on some Made in Japan and Mexican made Fender models. We do two 11-hole patterns: the original 59 to 63 pattern and the late 63 pattern currently used on American Standard guitars. Our 8-hole pattern is the original pattern from late 54 to mid 59. Getting a good looking single ply guard was very difficult. All that was available was a very bright refrigerator white. We had a 1-ply parchment white material (.060" thick) produced to solve this problem. It is best described as an off white with a yellow hue. It looks naturally old and gives any guitar a vintage look. It is an acrylic and will not warp like pvc. In 2007 we are now making 3-ply parchment white pickguards made from our same parchment white material as our single ply parchment but now in a 3-ply Parchment (Parchment/Black/Parchment) (.090" thick). |

These are antiqued pickguards and knobs on the early 11-hole pattern. It is a drop-in installation for the new "Relic" instruments or real Pre-CBS strats. Of course you can use it for new construction. We do NOT sell the antiqued plastic or screws separately. |

Lindy Fralin Replacement Strat Pickups |
|
Callaham Special Wind. This is an ALNICO V magnetic, 42 formvar wire done to our specs. We have measured from original Pre-CBS pickups. They have a full clear bass response, a thick strong treble and a very wide frequency response and will challenge the best original vintage pickups you can find. Callaham H/SRV Specials. This again is a special wind for those who want the Hendrix, SRV, EJ sound. What makes this set different from our "Special Wind" is better note separaton and clarity on the wound strings under high volume overdrive. The plain strings are very full and the overall sustain is excellent. New Callaham Real 54's Specials. This is an ALNICO III, 42 formvar wire pickup done again to our Special wind. They are the brightest sounding pickup with excellent sustain. They work well with all music styles and are great for clean rhythm work. All sets include a base plate on the bridge pickup, and all our pickup sets have been cryogenically treated. This treatment makes Fralins bought through us just a little bit better by removing harsh overtones and increasing singing type sustain. We can order any set you like if you don't mind a short wait. Note: Pickup makers these days use all sorts of adjectives to market the sound of their pickups to try to conjure up visions in the buyer's mind. Spec's on this and that and fancy adjectives are meaningless. The only way to know how a pickup will sound in your guitar is to put them in and play it. So what we offer is this: Any of the three on the shelve strat pickup sets purchased through us can be returned for refund or exchange provided the leads have not been cut or the pickup damaged. Special order sets are Nonreturnable. Also do not fall for the marketing gimmic that one set is better for country and another set for hard rock. Good pickups produce the frequency response for all styles of music. It is the style of play (ie. your hands), that determine what sounds come from the speakers. Not to mention your amp, pedal, and speaker chain. |

Callaham Base Plate for single coil Strat Bridge Pickups boosts the lows and the mid range frequencies giving a fatter wider sound. I recommend adding a base plate to existing instruments if they do not have one. Installation instructions included. |

Callaham Full Aluminum Pickguard Shield These are made from 0.014 thick 6061-T6 aluminum just like what was used on the early 60's strats. We have made them more versatile by incorporating both the 50's 8-hole pattern and the early 60's 11-hole pattern. It is designed to work with almost anybody's traditional strat® guard, with slightly larger holes for clearance. This shield is far superior to foil by allowing you to tighten pots and switches firmly without fear of breaking through a thin foil. You will no longer need ground straps from pot to pot thus eliminating a potential ground loop and unwanted noise. |

Blender Pot allows you to blend the neck and bridge pickups together. With the blender the guitar will have a volume, a master tone, then the blender. With the blender turned on 10, the guitar is normal strat switch set-up. With the blender on 0, the neck and bridge pickups are connected in switch positions 5 and 1. All three pickups are together in positions 2 and 4. Position 3 is still just the middle pickup. So you get 2 extra sounds. This is a true no load pot. A wiring diagram is included. Precision Height Adjustment Screw Driver. It is hard to keep up with the small .050 allen wrench so we have a very nice driver that can be kept in your guitar case. Tip is heat treated and hardened. Made in Germany. The .050 fits standard #4-40 set screws common in American made strat styled guitars. |
