We were asked by David Wilson of ToneQuest Report to do a set of distressed (reliced) tuners that still work like new. It has never made sense to me to make tuners, screws, etc. unusable just for the sake of appearance and to make the appearance as though the guitar and parts were never cared for in any manner. The most valuable old guitars are the ones that are maintained and were not abused. We offer a complete distressed hardware kit for Strats where all components still function like new. The appearance is that of a collectable 40 year old guitar. We will not rust parts. The tuners will have fresh lubricant and will be tight. All height adjustment and intonation screws will function smoothly. We will also offer tuner sets, vintage s model strat bridges, and vintage s model saddle sets separately. There will be no returns for these items. If you want something that looks like it has been in a fire or worse, it is up to you to ruin it. But if you want a cool looking instrument that holds pitch and will properly intonate, this hardware will meet those requirements.

For our Distressed Tele parts, like our distressed strat parts, we are going for an old but maintained look, not an abused look . The tuners are regreased and operate like new and all screws still function perfectly.

Callaham Distressed Tele Hardware kit

We offer two Distressed Tele Hardware kits: One with a Distressed Bakelite Pickguard and the other Without Pickguard. You still have the options of dome or flat top knobs and 3 or 4 way wiring. Esquire kits are also available.
